I studied accounting during my school years and my first job as an adult was as a data entry clerk in the materials management department of a window & door manufacturer. While there, I worked my way up through the department to an inventory analyst position. As the years passed, life threw its usual twists and turns and I found myself changing jobs and working as a job estimator for a sub-contractor, a bookkeeper for a real estate appraisal company, and an accountant for a landscape company. As I was raised in a blue-collar home, the values of hard work and earning the things I that I desired were stressed. So I found myself working a number of part-time jobs with several retail stores. When I was approached about becoming a software consultant, I accepted with a great deal of trepidation and a healthy dose of excitement. Although I didn't know it at the time, all of my previous work experience has prepared me to be able to appreciate the vagarities of business. All businesses face similar challenges and yet they also have unique issues as well. A person needs to be able to see a problem from all sides and how each solution will affect the larger picture in the end. I've been blessed to have met and married a wonderful man.
